A couple of years ago, Karl Heitmueller, Jr. asked me to redesign Supergirl for a project he was working on with several other cartoonists that paid homage to Adventure Comics #397 (published by DC Comics). I was steeped in watching AMC's "Madmen" because my design is clearly influenced by the 1960's era. The project was eventually published in Back Issue Magazine #84.
