"I try to write and draw stories for the comix fan in me. If it makes me grin or cringe with glee, I'm probably doing something right. I'm also inspired by the absurdity of exploitation films; Giallo, Grindhouse, Chopsocky and Spaghetti Westerns. Plus, Silver Age and Alternative comix, pulp fiction, black and electronica music and John Carpenter movies/soundtracks. In the last decade or so I've also come to appreciate live blue-grass music and spoken-word salons. The combination of all that stuff creates a heady chemistry for weird ideas."
