Pedro Camargo


One of my favorite comix finds of 2006 was SPACE SUCKS [http://community.livejournal.com/altcomix/448719.html] -- created by the extremely talented, Pedro Camargo aka [info]siliconneedle. Come [info]act_i_vate Wave 3, we asked Pedro to join where he debuted his current opus, GLAM [http://siliconneedle.livejournal.com/82116.html]. GLAM combines the very best tropes fantasy has to offer while remixing and caramelizing the sensibilities of the more hyperbolic [info]act_i_vate comix and paying homage to the graphic lexicons of R. Crumb, Paul Pope, Walt Disney, and Hugo Pratt. The latest episode was pencilled at my home last week and the inked version just went live: http://community.livejournal.com/act_i_vate/177162.html

SPACE SUCKS was one of my 2006 faves as well, and I'm digging GLAM so far, too....when I get the nerve up to read it. (It frightens me a little sometimes.)
